What are the benefits of using an individual Tax Preparer over a large national chain?

Many people find that they are most comfortable sharing their financial information with an individual that they can meet in person, and with whom they can maintain a professional relationship for many years. This type of personalized service is only possible in a small firm, or using an individual tax preparer. Another advantage is that your preparer can be available to you year round in the event that you need tax planning advice, or are audited.
